About The Aesthetics Nurse
Meet Rachel
Registered nurse, founder and lead practitioner at The Aesthetics Nurse — a Health Improvement Scotland regulated clinic in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.
Her story
Rachel’s career began in 2007, when she completed her SVQ Level 2 and HND qualifications in beauty therapy. At just 18 years old, she opened her first salon, Little Miss Beauty, specialising in facials and skincare treatments.
A turning point came when her second child required surgery. Witnessing the standard of care at the children’s hospital inspired Rachel to train as a registered nurse — combining her background in aesthetics with clinical healthcare knowledge.
In 2017 she gained an Award in Education & Training, allowing her to teach beauty courses, and by 2024 she had expanded into teaching aesthetics courses through The Aesthetics Nurse Training Academy. In 2025, Rachel completed her V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.
Today, as a registered nurse with advanced aesthetics training, Rachel leads a clinic regulated by Health Improvement Scotland — meaning it is held to, and inspected against, high clinical standards.
